We invent no salvage-value haircut percent.

NHTSA year/make/model campaigns from recallsByVehicle are not a this-VIN unrepaired-recall result. We do not call /safetyIssues (it returned the wrong vehicles). VIN-specific unrepaired APIs returned 403. Confirm this VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. We never claim “no open recalls” without that this-VIN page. NHTSA’s API is not for bulk VIN lookups; we cache 24 hours per VIN and fetch only for the walk in progress.

Arizona citations on the report are not a determination: salvage disclosure A.R.S. §§ 28-2091 and 28-2095 (flood/water is a reason a vehicle can be salvage, not a brand table we invent); title in 15 days § 28-2058; seller Sold Notice within 10 days (ADOT 46-8502) for private sales — mentioned on the report, not a walk item that blocks buying; odometer exemptions § 28-2058(B) (10 model years if MY 2010 or older; 20 if MY 2011 or newer); used-motor-vehicle dealer = 4 or more used vehicles in the previous 12 months (§ 44-1261), stricter than the FTC’s 5 (16 C.F.R. § 455.1). A private Facebook seller is not a dealer.

Licensed used-dealer implied warranty 15 days or 500 miles: § 44-1267. We do not apply that, or lemon law §§ 44-1262–1264, to a private used sale. Private as-is is UCC § 47-2316.

In-use lights: stop lamp § 28-939; tail lamps § 28-925; windshield § 28-957.01; no obstruction of driver view § 28-959.01. We do not claim a federal “crack in the driver view = illegal.” Tread: NHTSA TireWise 2/32 in. There is no Arizona 2/32 statute in § 28-958. We do not run the § 28-952 20 mph brake-distance test in a driveway — a PPI or road test measures it.

Pima/Tucson is ADEQ Area B. Vehicles more than five years old by manufacture date at Area B addresses generally need a test. Exempt if five years old or less, 1966 or older, or electric. A check-engine lamp cannot pass. Dealers in Area A/B must deliver a passing vehicle. Private-party: a current test transfers; if none, the buyer tests. We link myAZcar / ADEQ and do not scrape.

EPA fuel economy is year/make/model plus displacement/drive/fuel when vPIC has them — never VIN→MPG. IIHS is a link only; NHTSA stars and IIHS G/A/M/P are different tests. Pricing is a flat $29 walk or $12/month. We do not take a percentage of any vehicle sale.
